The Davao City Tourism Operation Office (CTOO) is inviting coffee and chocolate enthusiasts as the Duaw Davao Kape ug Tsokolate Crawl returns this June, now expanded to include more local and homegrown establishments.
Event Details
The month-long crawl will run from June 1 to 30, 2026, and has become a staple of the Duaw Davao festivities. It encourages tourists and locals to explore the city through its homegrown cafés and chocolate shops that embody Davao's unique flavor throughout the decades.
How to Participate
Participants will collect stickers from participating coffee and chocolate shops. Once all stickers are collected, they will receive a prize from the city. To join, interested individuals must submit their application form and requirements on or before May 19, 2026, via Google form at https://tinyurl.com/KapeUgTsokolateCrawl.
Requirements for Businesses
Coffee and chocolate businesses must be locally owned and offer at least five coffee or chocolate drinks that qualify crawlers for a sticker. At least 50 establishments will be selected to participate through a raffling system by the executive committee, provided they meet all guidelines.
Expanded Participation
Willenito P. Tormis Jr., CTOO officer-in-charge, told the City Information Office (CIO) that this year's Kape ug Tsokolate Crawl has been expanded to include additional cafés and chocolate stores. This provides Dabawenyos and tourists with more opportunities to explore Davao's homegrown flavors.
“We have extended our Duaw Davao Kape and Tsokolate Crawl to make it more inclusive. Before, only a few small shops participated. Now, we have opened it up to a bigger scale so that more people can join. So that more Dabawenyos can visit their establishments,” he said.
