President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has assured that his administration will continue its efforts to address the housing backlog and provide decent homes for thousands of Filipino families. Through the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program (4PH), the Chief Executive emphasized that owning a home will become more affordable for ordinary citizens. This is due to the government's subsidized interest rates of only 1 to 3 percent.
According to a report from the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD), various options are offered under the program to suit the capabilities and needs of beneficiaries. These include vertical housing facilities and house-and-lot packages.
To personally see the progress of the program, the President visited communities in Central Luzon to check on families who have received housing. Among the projects inspected by the Chief Executive recently was a housing project in Pampanga province, as well as the Palayan Township project in Nueva Ecija. The President's interaction with beneficiaries was also shared in his latest vlog to inform the public about the benefits of the initiative.
The 4PH program aims to address the country's housing backlog, which affects millions of Filipinos. With the subsidized interest rates, the government hopes to make housing more accessible to low-income families. The program also includes various housing types to cater to different needs and preferences.
President Marcos reiterated his commitment to ensuring that every Filipino family has a decent and affordable home. He urged beneficiaries to take care of their new homes and communities. The administration continues to monitor the implementation of the program to ensure its success and sustainability.
