The Iloilo City Civil Registry Office (CCRO) conducted a Mobile Civil Registration Activity in Barangay Lanit, Jaro on July 3, 2026, successfully serving 100 residents. Among the beneficiaries were six Ati individuals who verified records for 14 people seeking late registration.
Indigenous Peoples Benefit from Outreach
The participation of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in the delayed birth registration process highlighted the importance of sustained outreach efforts to reach marginalized and underserved sectors. CCRO processed a total of 100 clients, reflecting active community engagement and the ongoing need for accessible civil registration services.
Services Provided
At the event, CCRO handled 64 applications for Delayed Registration of Birth, 31 Correction of Clerical Error (Indigent) applications, nine applications under RA 10172 (Indigent), two Legitimation cases, two Change of First Name (Indigent) applications, and one Supplemental Report. Remaining clients sought consultations on various civil registration concerns that could not be resolved administratively and were advised or referred to appropriate courts.
Educational Component
The activity also served to educate clients on documentary requirements, procedures, and available legal remedies for their specific concerns. This marked the second mobile registration conducted by CCRO in Barangay Lanit, demonstrating a continued commitment to serve the community.
The successful undertaking reinforced CCRO's mission to ensure every resident has access to civil registration services and the legal identity these documents provide, according to a press release.
