P4M Shabu Seized from High-Value Target in Tagbilaran

Over P4 million worth of illegal drugs were seized from a 26-year-old laborer identified as a high-value target during a buy-bust operation launched by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bohol, together with the Tagbilaran City Police Station and the Bohol Maritime Police. The operation took place past 3:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Purok 6, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.

Suspect Identified

PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the suspect as alias Christian, 26, a resident of the area. Seized from him were 12 large packs of suspected shabu weighing 600 grams, with an estimated average market value of P4,080,000.

Also recovered were the buy-bust money, a cellphone, and other items, which have been submitted to the PNP Bohol Forensic Laboratory for chemical analysis.

Case Buildup and Prior Record

Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, stated that the suspect had been under case buildup for a week after they received information about his illegal activities. Christian was allegedly selling one kilogram of shabu per week.

He had previously been arrested in 2024 for carnapping but was released under a plea bargain agreement.

The suspect now faces charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
