A 38-year-old former painter, known only by the alias Tambok, is back behind bars after being arrested for the third time during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Obong, Dalaguete town, on Wednesday evening, April 29, 2026.
Third Arrest for Drug Offenses
Operatives from the Dalaguete Police Station arrested the suspect at around 8:50 p.m. Police Major Vincent Zozobrado, chief of the Dalaguete Police Station, confirmed that this is the third time the suspect has been apprehended for drug-related offenses.
In his first arrest, Tambok served his sentence. In the second, he was released through a plea bargaining agreement. Despite these previous encounters with the law, police monitoring revealed that the suspect had resumed selling shabu, with local loiterers as his customers.
Drug Supply from Cebu City
According to Zozobrado, the suspect's drug supply allegedly came from Cebu City. Seized from the suspect was approximately 1.2 grams of shabu, with a standard drug price of P8,160.
The suspect is now detained at the Dalaguete Police Station and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
