A 40-year-old construction worker was arrested and detained at the Mabolo Police Station after being accused of stealing electrical wires from a beauty clinic on L. Tudtud Street, Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City, on June 28, 2026.
Suspect Identified
The suspect was identified as Angelito, married, a resident of Lower Carreta, Cebu City. Police investigation revealed that a security guard caught Angelito taking 4.5 meters of electrical wire valued at P306 and an additional 8 meters of duplex wire worth P800, totaling over P1,100.
Suspect Denies Allegations
However, in an interview with SuperBalita Cebu, Angelito vehemently denied the accusations. He claimed that he merely found the wires scattered outside the clinic while walking home. He expressed surprise when the clinic guard followed him and accused him of taking the wires.
Angelito was brought to the Mabolo Police Station, where the clinic owner formally filed a theft complaint against him. The case is currently under investigation.
