The journey of a law student is often described as both challenging and rewarding, but learning extends far beyond the classroom walls. At Rizal Memorial Colleges, Inc.-School of Law (RMC-SOL), innovative approaches are transforming legal education into an engaging experience. In a standout initiative, the Consumer Protection Laws class of 2026 launched a community-driven project that merges education with public service, making complex legal concepts accessible and exciting.
A Community Forum for Consumer Empowerment
Dubbed "Maalamon, Mabinantayon, ug Malambuong Konsyumer sa Digital nga Panahon" (Knowledgeable, Vigilant, and Resilient Consumers in the Digital Age), this educational forum drew over one hundred participants, primarily residents of Barangay Sto. Niño in Tugbok District, Davao City. Held at the barangay gym on Saturday, April 11, the event addressed pressing consumer issues amid ongoing economic challenges, fostering a collaborative environment for learning and action.

Calamba, Assistant Dean of RMC-SOL and professor of the Consumer Protection Laws class, thanked the local government for its unwavering support. He also acknowledged the significant contributions of the panelists and discussants, whose expertise was instrumental in the forum's success.
