Lotlot de Leon denies interest in Nora Aunor's inheritance

Actress Lotlot de Leon broke down in tears as she directly addressed her brother Ian de Leon's alleged false statements regarding the estate of their mother, the late Superstar and National Artist Nora Aunor. During the story conference for the film "40 Days," Lotlot vehemently denied accusations that she and her siblings Matet, Kenneth, and Kiko have any interest in properties left by the iconic actress.

Lotlot's Emotional Response

Lotlot made her statement after Ian's interview with Boy Abunda, where Ian claimed he had informed his siblings about plans to form a one-person corporation (OPC) to manage Nora Aunor's inheritance and legacy. Ian was designated to lead the corporation as the legal heir, excluding his adopted siblings. "Enough! Enough with the lies! I have been quiet, Matet is quiet, Kiko and Ken are quiet. We haven't said anything, and then you go on a TV show and tell everyone that you told us, which is not true," Lotlot said emotionally.

She could not hold back tears as she recalled her relationship with Ian and their mother's last wishes. "It pains me so much because I considered him a brother. I took care of him as a brother. My mother entrusted that to me," she added.

Public Apology and Clarification

Before sharing her side, Lotlot apologized to film director Louie Ignacio and her co-stars Dina Bonnevie, Snooky Serna, Elizabeth Oropesa, Lloyd Samartino, and others for discussing personal matters during the event. According to Lotlot, she was the one who approached Ian on the 40th day after Nora Aunor's passing to discuss forming a corporation to preserve their mother's legacy. She stressed it was not for personal gain but to continue Aunor's advocacy of helping those in need.

Denial of Inheritance Claims

Lotlot firmly denied allegations that they are interested in the Superstar's inheritance. "Inheritance? There is no inheritance. What was left are some lands in Bicol. And if there is anything, he can have it all. We are not asking for anything," she stated. She added that more than material possessions, she is grateful for having been raised by Nora Aunor. "It is enough that I can call Nora Aunor my mom, that I was raised by a Superstar," she said tearfully.
