Tropical Storm Strengthens East of Luzon, PAGASA Monitors Entry into PAR
Tropical Storm Strengthens East of Luzon

The tropical storm located east of Luzon has slightly strengthened as it continues moving across the Philippine Sea, according to the latest bulletin from PAGASA. As of 10:00 PM, the storm's center was estimated at 1,590 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon, still outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It packs maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of up to 105 kilometers per hour, moving westward at 20 kilometers per hour.

No Direct Impact Yet, but Vigilance Advised

Although no direct impact on the country is expected at present, PAGASA continues to monitor the system closely due to the possibility that it may enter PAR within the next few days. Residents in the eastern part of Luzon are advised to stay alert for weather advisories, particularly regarding potential rain and increased wave heights in the country's coastal waters.

The storm's current location places it well east of the Philippine landmass, but its westward movement brings it closer to the country's forecast area. PAGASA noted that the storm is expected to maintain its strength or possibly intensify further as it moves over warm sea waters.
