Successful Dry Run Conducted Under Leadership of Dr. Dax Tidula
Provincial Health Office (PHO) Director Dr. Dax Tidula recently led a comprehensive dry run of the floating clinic on Wednesday, February 11, marking a significant milestone in its deployment. During this initial test, at least 60 patients received various health services, demonstrating the facility's operational readiness and capacity to serve the community effectively.
Comprehensive Healthcare Services on Board
The newly constructed 112-square-meter floating clinic is equipped to provide a wide range of primary healthcare services, specifically targeting remote and flood-prone regions within Pampanga. Key medical offerings include:
- Advanced laboratory diagnostics such as X-ray and ultrasound imaging
- Comprehensive dental care and oral health services
- Electrocardiogram (ECG) testing for cardiac assessments
- Minor medical and surgical procedures for immediate treatment
- OB-Gyne consultations focusing on prenatal and maternal care
- Access to prescription and maintenance medicines through an on-board pharmacy
Self-Sufficient Design for Isolated Operations
To ensure reliable operations in isolated or waterlogged areas, the floating hospital features specialized infrastructure. It is fitted with a dedicated sewage treatment system to manage waste responsibly and a water pumping unit to maintain clean water supply, enabling sustained medical missions without external dependencies.
