The Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Cebu has achieved remarkable success in revenue collection, trade facilitation, border protection, stakeholder collaboration, and coordination with other government agencies. This performance has strengthened the port's reputation as one of the top collection districts within the BOC.

Revenue Targets Exceeded in First Half of 2026

The Port of Cebu surpassed its monthly and cumulative revenue collection targets for the first six months of 2026. From January to June, the port collected P25.007 billion, exceeding the target by P448.735 million.

In June alone, the port collected P4.750 billion, surpassing the monthly target by P584.997 million. This demonstrates the port's ongoing efforts to enhance legal government revenue collection while facilitating legitimate trade activities.

Operational Improvements and Anti-Smuggling Efforts

In its operations, the Port of Cebu has streamlined customs procedures by improving cargo clearance, ensuring proper customs valuation and tariff classification, and strengthening compliance with customs laws and international regulations.

The port has also intensified its anti-smuggling campaign, including the successful seizure of 11 40-foot containers and 25 20-foot containers loaded with illegal cigarettes valued at approximately P1.84 billion. Additionally, the port has continued operations against shipments with misdeclarations and undervaluation.
