CEBU CITY - In a significant law enforcement operation, Cebu police authorities confiscated multiple high-powered firearms and ammunition during a search conducted in Barangay Parafulla on Wednesday.
The raid, authorized under Search Warrant No. LXI-02 issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 25 Judge Benjamen Repollo, targeted the residence of a suspect identified as John Doe, who is facing serious extortion allegations.
Weapons Cache Uncovered
During the thorough search operation, law enforcement officers discovered and seized:
- One .45 caliber pistol
- One 12-gauge shotgun
- Multiple rounds of live ammunition
- Additional firearm components
The weapons were immediately taken into police custody for proper documentation and ballistic examination to determine if they have been used in previous criminal activities.
