The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 arrested a 49-year-old foreign manager of a restobar following a search warrant operation at Alegria Palms Uno in Cordova town on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 11:50 a.m.
Arrest and Seizure
PDEA 7 Director Joel Plaza identified the suspect as alias Matthew, 49, a restobar manager who also resided in the area. Operatives seized one package of suspected shabu weighing approximately five grams, with an estimated average market value of PHP 34,000, along with a digital weighing scale and other drug paraphernalia.
Evidence and Investigation
The seized evidence has been submitted to the PDEA 7 Laboratory for chemical analysis. According to Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA 7, the agency had been conducting a four-week case buildup against the foreigner after his name surfaced in connection with the sale of shabu to his customers.
The suspect allegedly sold 75 grams of shabu weekly, with his customers being fellow foreigners who visited the restobar. The operation underscores PDEA's intensified campaign against drug trafficking in the region.
