A high-value target was arrested by the Sawang Calero Police Station 6 during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted at around 3:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2026, along Gen. Gines Street in Barangay Sawang Calero, Cebu City.
Suspect Identified
The arrested individual was identified as Jessie Papasin Casquejo, also known as "Mangko," 41 years old, a resident of the same area.
Confiscated Items
Operatives seized several packets of suspected shabu weighing approximately 50.08 grams, with a standard drug price of PHP 340,544, as well as a caliber 38 revolver.
The recovered evidence was immediately turned over to the PNP Forensic Unit 7 for chemical analysis.
Police Commendation
The successful arrest of the suspect was praised by Police Colonel George Ylanan, chief of the Cebu City Police Office, citing the fruitful results of their intensified anti-criminality operations.
Charges Filed
Casquejo will face charges for violations of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and Republic Act 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
