Two drug personalities were arrested by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Carcar City Police Station on Tuesday evening, April 28, 2026, in Barangay Poblacion 1, Carcar City, after they were found in possession of over P700,000 worth of illegal drugs.
Suspects Identified
The arrested individuals were identified as alias Ethel and alias Jes, both residents of Carcar City. They were caught with several packets of suspected shabu weighing 103 grams, with a standard drug price of P700,400.
High-Value Target
Alias Ethel is considered a high-value target and is on the target list of PDEA 7 and the PNP, while alias Jes is identified as a street-level individual but also remains on the police watchlist.
Both were handcuffed following a successful buy-bust operation conducted by the DEU of the Carcar City Police Station. The seized evidence has been submitted to the Cebu Provincial Forensic Unit in Talisay City for laboratory examination, while the two suspects are now detained at the police station's detention cell.
Police Commendation
Police Colonel Abubakar Mangelen Jr., chief of the Cebu Police Provincial Office, praised the personnel of the Carcar City Police Station for the successful arrest of the two drug personalities. This achievement underscores the police's unwavering campaign against illegal drugs.
“This successful operation demonstrates our sustained efforts in targeting both high-value and street-level drug personalities. We remain relentless in our operations to dismantle illegal drug activities and ensure the safety of our communities,” Mangelen said.
He assured that they will not stop until the syndicates supplying illegal drugs throughout Cebu Province are apprehended. Mangelen also urged the public to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activities related to the smuggling of illegal drugs in their areas.
