PAMPANGA, Philippines - In a massive security mobilization, the Philippine National Police (PNP) has deployed approximately 3,000 police personnel across Central Luzon to safeguard the public during the upcoming All Saints' Day observance on November 1.
The strategic deployment, announced by Police Regional Office 3 director Brigadier General Jose Hidalgo Jr., covers all seven provinces of the region including Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales.
Comprehensive Security Measures
The police force has implemented a multi-layered security approach focusing on key public areas:
- Cemetery Security: Enhanced police visibility in and around public and private cemeteries
- Transportation Hubs: Increased patrols at bus terminals, airports, and major transportation centers
- Strategic Checkpoints: Multiple checkpoints established along major highways and thoroughfares
- Traffic Management: Special traffic schemes to accommodate the expected surge of vehicles
Regional Readiness
Brigadier General Hidalgo emphasized that all police units in Central Luzon are operating at full readiness. "Our personnel are strategically positioned to ensure the safety and security of everyone visiting their departed loved ones," Hidalgo stated during a press briefing.
The security operation, codenamed "Ligtas Undas 2023," involves close coordination with local government units, force multipliers, and other law enforcement agencies to create a seamless security network throughout the region.
