The celebration was attended by Atty. Maximo Lasaca I, Regional Director of the National Police Commission (Napolcom) 7, who served as the guest of honor. In his address, Lasaca praised the police force for its professionalism and dedication to duty.

He noted that personnel morale has significantly improved due to recent increases in benefits, including allowances, bonuses, and base pay. This enhancement in compensation is seen as a key factor in boosting officer satisfaction and performance.

Substantial Budget Allocation for Law Enforcement

Lasaca revealed that Congress has approved a P308.4 billion budget for the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) this year, making it the third-largest funded department in the government. From this amount, P8.4 billion has been earmarked specifically for the Philippine National Police (PNP).

This funding is intended to support the modernization of equipment and address other critical needs of the national police force, ensuring they are well-equipped to handle evolving challenges in public safety.

The awards ceremony not only celebrated past achievements but also reinforced the commitment to continuous improvement in law enforcement services across Cebu City and beyond.
