Guidelines and Recommendations for Beneficiaries

The CSWDO has strongly encouraged all senior citizens to adhere to the scheduled release dates for their payouts. Exceptions are only advised in cases of important personal commitments or emergencies. Additionally, the office has issued a clear directive: if a senior citizen's name does not appear on the official payroll, they should refrain from attending the scheduled payout to avoid unnecessary congestion and confusion.

For further clarification, the CSWDO emphasized in a Facebook post that beneficiaries with inquiries or those seeking the complete list of recipients should visit their respective CSWDO District Office, which oversees their barangay. Coordination with Direct Service Implementers (DSIs) is also recommended to ensure prompt resolution of any questions or concerns.

Background on Senior Citizen Registration in Davao City

As of July 2025, the Office of the Senior Citizens’ Affairs (Osca) reported approximately 197,981 registered senior citizens in Davao City. However, this figure includes around 19,000 entries that still require verification due to issues such as duplicate names and addresses. This highlights the ongoing efforts to maintain accurate records and ensure that assistance reaches all eligible individuals without discrepancies.

The announcement underscores the city's commitment to supporting its aging population through structured financial aid programs, while also addressing logistical challenges to enhance service delivery.
