PSA Davao de Oro Achieves Major National ID Registration Milestones in First Quarter 2026

The National ID (NID) Team of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Davao de Oro Provincial Office has announced significant accomplishments for the first quarter of 2026, demonstrating a robust expansion of the National ID system across the province. From January to March, preliminary data reveals that the team successfully registered a total of 6,284 individuals for the National ID. Notably, this figure includes 880 registrants who are children aged four years old and below, highlighting the ongoing efforts to incorporate younger age groups into the identification framework.

Enhanced Service Delivery Through Mobile and Community Initiatives

To reach a broader demographic, the NID Team intensified its field operations by implementing mobile registration and community-based strategies. Activities were conducted in 60 barangays across multiple municipalities, including Monkayo, Nabunturan, New Bataan, Maco, Maragusan, Pantukan, Mabini, and Laak. These efforts primarily targeted beneficiaries of key government programs such as the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) and Social Pension (Socpen), ensuring that vulnerable populations have access to essential identification services.

In collaboration with Local Government Units (LGUs), particularly the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Offices (MSWDOs), the team also executed House-to-House Registration activities in selected barangays. This initiative was specifically designed to assist senior citizens, bedridden individuals, and residents with limited mobility who face challenges visiting registration centers, thereby promoting inclusivity in the National ID system.

Issuance of Paper IDs and Public Awareness Campaigns

In addition to registrations, the PSA team facilitated the issuance of 10,264 National IDs in paper format, enabling more Filipinos to access critical services that require valid identification. Furthermore, the NID Team actively participated in nine caravan activities across various municipalities. During these events, the team not only provided registration services but also conducted Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) campaigns to educate the public on the benefits, registration process, and importance of the National ID system.

These collective initiatives underscore PSA's unwavering commitment to inclusive service delivery, ensuring that no Filipino is left behind in the nationwide implementation of the National ID system.
