In a shocking incident that has rattled the community, a 47-year-old man lost his life after being shot by riding-in-tandem gunmen inside his own restaurant in Purok Rainbow, Barangay Santo Rosario, Bogo City, on April 14, 2026, at approximately 11:30 in the morning.
Victim Identified as Local Business Owner
Authorities have identified the victim as Clemente Fernan Vega, a married resident of Purok Tugas, Barangay Malingin in the same city. Vega was the proprietor of the eatery where the tragic event unfolded, adding a layer of personal violation to the crime.
Details of the Attack
According to the initial investigation conducted by the Bogo City Police Station, Vega was inside his restaurant when an unidentified male entered, pretending to place a food order. After a few moments, the suspect suddenly drew a firearm and shot Vega multiple times in various parts of his body.
Following the shooting, the assailant quickly fled the scene and boarded a waiting motorcycle, described as a white and black Honda XRM, driven by an accomplice. This method of escape is characteristic of riding-in-tandem crimes, which have been a concern in some areas.
