Senate Aircon Outage Caused by Tripped Breaker, Says Service Unit
Senate Aircon Outage Due to Tripped Breaker

The Senate Management Information Systems Service (MIS) reported that a tripped electrical circuit breaker at the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) caused the loss of air conditioning in the Session Hall. This came after several senators complained about the alleged shutdown of air conditioning and WiFi in the Session Hall yesterday.

Centralized air-conditioning operations were restored around 6:20 p.m. Meanwhile, the MIS Service stated that there was no internet outage during that time. According to their monitoring, the WiFi remained active. If there had been an internet failure, their system would have automatically sent an alert via SMS and email—which did not occur.

Previously, Sen. Erwin Tulfo accused someone of turning off the aircon and WiFi while the minority senators were waiting for a session. The Senate technical team strongly denied this, stating that the systems were functioning at the time and there was no indication of an intentional shutdown.
