Lawmakers' Withdrawal of Support for VP Sara Impeachment Questioned

Justice Committee member Representative Terry Ridon has questioned the authenticity of an online list purporting to show lawmakers who have withdrawn their support for the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte. In a statement, Ridon pointed out that the list contains a fabricated name, casting doubt on its credibility.

Fake Name Discovered

Ridon noted that among the names listed was a certain "Bier Rodriguez," who does not exist as a member of the House of Representatives. According to Ridon, supporters of the Vice President have been circulating a list of congressmen allegedly retracting their support for the impeachment. While some names on the list correspond to actual lawmakers, the eighth entry is a non-existent individual.

Actual Rodriguez Lawmakers

Under the 20th Congress, only three House members bear the surname Rodriguez: Catanduanes Representative Eulogio Rodriguez, Abamin party-list Representative Maximo Rodriguez Jr., and Cagayan de Oro Representative Rufus Rodriguez. None of them is named "Bier."
