Launch of the First Facility Outside Metro Manila
The Walang Gutom Kitchen was launched by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on June 22, 2026. It is the first facility outside Metro Manila and serves as a one-stop hub where poor and vulnerable individuals and families can receive free, nutritious meals and access social welfare programs, including the Pag-abot Program and Tara, Basa! Tutoring Program.
Current Operations and Expansion Plans
Currently, the kitchen provides free, hot, and nutritious lunches and is expected to expand its operations from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the goal of serving 200 to 250 meals daily.
