Veteran guard CJ McCollum will remain with the Atlanta Hawks for the upcoming NBA season after signing a new one-year contract, according to ESPN. The 34-year-old guard is set to begin his 14th season in the league with the Hawks.
Trade Details and Team Performance
The Hawks acquired McCollum in a trade with the Washington Wizards in January 2026, which sent Trae Young to Washington. As part of the same deal, Atlanta also received Corey Kispert from the Wizards.
Since McCollum joined the Hawks, the team has posted a 19-4 record, demonstrating a significant improvement in performance. The one-year contract ensures McCollum's continued presence as the Hawks aim to build on their success.
