Flagg Wins Rookie of Year in Second Closest Vote

In the second closest Rookie of the Year award race in National Basketball Association (NBA) history, Cooper Flagg of the Dallas Mavericks emerged victorious in voting by the 100-member global media panel.

Flagg defeated his former Duke teammate Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets by a total of 412 points to 386. Flagg received 56 first-place votes, while Knueppel garnered 44.

"I can check the box scores. I think also I was watching Kon just because that's one of my brothers," Flagg said.
