Cebu Chamber Announces CBM 2026 Leadership Team
The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) has unveiled the leaders for Cebu Business Month (CBM) 2026, setting the stage for a series of events focused on digital transformation and technology. The newly appointed leaders include Bernard Vonn Sia, vice president for Business Mobilization of CCCI; Joslyn Canon; Dr. Donald Patrick Lim, chief operating officer of DITO CME Holdings Corp.; and Regan Rex King.
Annual Tradition of Business and Trade Events
CCCI holds yearly events in business and trade, tourism, education, and the arts, typically in June, designated as Cebu Business Month. Over the years, various CCCI presidents and officers have taken the lead, including Anastacio Muntuerto, Francis Monera, Xavier Ledesma, Francisco Benedicto, Enrique Benedicto, Efren Valiente, Ben Dapat, Teresa Chan, Melanie Ng, and current officers.
Focus on Digital Transformation and Technology
Joslyn Canon has been appointed chairman of CBM 2026 on Digital Transformation and Technology. The success of CBM programs has been due to effective linkages between CCCI and the business sector, travel and tourism groups, and the academe at local, national, and international levels.
Key Events and Awards
CBM activities have included trade and industry forums and exhibits held in major hotels and malls. A significant event is the Grand Chamber Awards, where citations are given to outstanding business and industry leaders, programs, and international relations initiatives.
Collaborative Efforts and Multisectoral Projects
As a member and co-chair of some CCCI education and tourism committees and major events, I had the opportunity to work with dynamic business leaders and broaden perspectives on various aspects of trade and industry. I also assisted in multisectoral projects, according to a CCCI official.
CCCI will continue to be the leader in expanding national and international linkages in business, tourism, and education.
