The Cebu Provincial Capitol has launched an online payment center to make it easier for residents and businesses to pay taxes, penalties, and other fees to the provincial government.
GCash Payment Option
The Capitol introduced the GCash payment method to ensure convenient access for Cebuanos and businesses in Cebu Province. This move allows faster payment of transfer tax, real property tax, sand and gravel fees, Governor's Permit, taxes on delivery trucks and vans, franchise tax, rental fees, professional tax, penalties, and other Capitol-related charges.
Expanded Coverage
Residents of Malapascua Island can now pay their electricity bills through this method. Also included are residents of Carmen and Moalboal, who are covered by the Inter-LGU Waterworks System.
Digitalization Commitment
The digitalization initiative was previously promised by the Capitol to provide convenience to Cebuanos in processing their payments and obligations to the province. This system allows faster updates of payments and input into the servers of the concerned offices.
"The order of the Governor ever since we started here at the Capitol last year is to make things easy for our people, especially for the taxpayers," said Cebu Provincial Investment and Promotions Office (CPIPO) Head Paulo Uy. "So what we are doing now, because of that order, one of the things that would make jobs easier is digitalization," he added.
