The SM Group has significantly broadened its integrated rewards ecosystem through a strategic new alliance between its loyalty program, SMAC, and the global online travel platform Trip.com. This collaboration provides SMAC members with enhanced opportunities to accumulate points on travel bookings, reinforcing the group's commitment to delivering seamless and rewarding customer experiences across its diverse services.
Partnership Details and Point Earnings
Under this partnership, SMAC members can now earn 1 SMAC Point for every PHP250 spent on hotel and flight reservations made through Trip.com. Points will be credited within 60 working days after the completion of the Trip.com booking, such as following a hotel stay or flight. To qualify for these rewards, members must log in via smac.ph and access Trip.com through the SMAC homepage before finalizing their booking.
Strengthening SM's Ecosystem Strategy
This collaboration is a key component of SM's broader ecosystem strategy, which aims to connect retail, banking, property, and lifestyle services to create a unified and value-driven experience for customers. Patrick Cua, Chief Operating Officer of SMAC, emphasized the strategic importance of such partnerships, stating, "Through strategic partnerships, both within and beyond the SM Group, we continue to enhance the value proposition for our members. This collaboration with Trip.com further expands our travel ecosystem, allowing members to earn rewards while accessing local and global destinations."

Expanding SMAC's Network and Benefits

Beyond travel, SMAC continues to expand its benefits across retail and financial services. For instance, it offers a remittance rewards program in collaboration with SM Store and BDO, further integrating its ecosystem to provide comprehensive value to members.
