Gamer stabs rival over Crossfire dispute in Cebu cafe

An 18-year-old man is in police custody after allegedly stabbing a 26-year-old man four times following a dispute over the online game Crossfire at an internet cafe in Barangay Pahina Central, Cebu City, on June 19, 2026.

Suspect arrested after victim's mother reports incident

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Janjan,” was apprehended by responding police officers and is now detained at the Carbon Police Station. The arrest came after the victim’s mother filed a complaint. The victim, known by the alias “Roy,” was rushed to the Cebu City Medical Center (CCMC) with four stab wounds on various parts of his body.

Argument over interrupted game leads to violence

According to police investigation, the two men argued when the suspect became angry because the victim suddenly stopped his game of Crossfire. The argument escalated into a fistfight. Moments later, the suspect pulled out a tactical folding knife and stabbed the victim multiple times.
