Perkins Twins Champion Moral Values and Anti-Vice Advocacy During LausGroup Complex Tour
At the Levy P. Laus Corporate Center, the Perkins Twins, accompanied by their parents and television host Ben Tulfo, were warmly welcomed by LausGroup President Paul Laus and matriarch Tess Laus. The group embarked on a comprehensive tour of the LausGroup Complex, which included a visit to the Levy P. Laus Museum, highlighting the conglomerate's rich history and community impact.
Promoting Positive Youth Initiatives Through Media Engagement
During live interviews on DwRW 95.1 FM and CLTV 36, Jesse and Christian Perkins, popularly known as the Perkins Twins, passionately discussed their key advocacies. These include anti-bullying, anti-smoking, anti-alcohol campaigns, as well as promoting purity, respect, and moral fortitude among young people. The Fil-Am pop duo emphasized that their message is rooted in Christian principles and biblical teachings, aiming to guide the youth toward making righteous decisions.
Ben Tulfo, host of CLTV 36's 'Bitag', actively participated in the event, even grabbing a copy of SunStar Pampanga to stay updated on local news during the visit. This interaction underscored the media's role in amplifying the twins' advocacy work, reaching a broader audience across various platforms.
A Call to Action for the Future Generation
The Perkins Twins articulated a powerful message directed at Kapampangan youth, urging them to steer clear of vices and instead cultivate strong moral values. "My brother and I and our parents still believe that the future of the Philippines is in the hands of the youth," one of the twins stated. "Faith is a strong foundation to keep away from vices. It has guided us since we were young and being raised by our parents. But then you have to make your own decisions at some point. It's not about being perfect, but doing what is right as Christians and according to the Bible."
They further elaborated on their philosophy, noting that many individuals today face depression and sadness due to a lack of spiritual guidance. "It goes beyond believing in Jesus and the promise of salvation. It's how well we should live our lives, and for us, it comes from the word of God because a lot of people have their ideas but at least we have something that could remind us of God's design on how to best live our lives," the twins added, reinforcing their commitment to sharing these values through their ongoing #perkinspired tour.
Extensive Advocacy Work and Community Impact
Having lived in the Philippines for over five years and achieving fluency in Tagalog, the Perkins Twins have been actively serving as Department of Education Ambassadors for Anti-Drugs, Anti-Drinking, Anti-Smoking, Anti-Bullying, and Purity. Their dedication has taken them to more than a thousand schools nationwide, including previous visits to Pampanga and the City of San Fernando.
"We love Pampanga. Kaluguran da kayu," they expressed, showcasing their affection for the local community and its culture. Their visit to the LausGroup Complex marked a significant milestone, as they thanked the Laus family for providing a platform to promote their advocacies through the conglomerate's tri-media group.
Paul Laus, during a welcome luncheon, shared the advocacies of LGC Founder Levy P. Laus, aligning with the twins' mission to inspire positive change. The Perkins family expressed gratitude for the opportunity, remarking that the complex felt reminiscent of California and was a true blessing to experience. This collaboration highlights the importance of corporate support in advancing social causes and empowering the youth to build a brighter, value-driven future.
