Bea Millan-Windorski of La Union has been crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026, succeeding Ahtisa Manalo. The coronation night took place on Saturday, May 2, and was hosted by Filipino drag star Marina Summers.
Victory and Upcoming International Competition
Windorski will represent the Philippines at the 75th Miss Universe pageant, which is scheduled to be held in Puerto Rico. The new queen emerged victorious after a rigorous competition that included a question-and-answer portion.
Question-and-Answer Highlights
During the final round, Windorski was asked: “Many Filipinos are getting frustrated with the country. For you, why is it still worth it to represent the Philippines on the global stage?”
She responded with a heartfelt answer, emphasizing her deep love for the Philippines. She shared her experience of growing up in a predominantly non-diverse part of the United States, where she was always identified as Filipina first. She expressed her belief in the limitless potential of the Filipino people and the need to create local opportunities so that families do not have to be separated for survival. She concluded by promising to be a public servant for all if given the title.
Top 7 Finalists
Joining Windorski in the Top 7 were Allyson Hetland of Pampanga, Nicole Borromeo of Cebu Province, Bella Ysmael of Taguig, Marian Arellano of Tarlac, Apriel Smith of Cebu City, and Jenrose Javier of Sultan Kudarat.
