Teddy Corpuz has recovered his stolen iPad, thanks to the efforts of barangay officials and netizens. In a Facebook post on May 7, 2026, Corpuz shared that the sibling of the suspect surrendered the device with the help of local leaders.
"This morning, the barangay officials came to our house and informed us that the brother of the thief surrendered the item that was taken from us. So the iPad was returned to us," Corpuz said.
However, other items, including rings, have not been recovered. "The rings are not back. That's okay because they were cheap and not real anyway," he added.
Corpuz expressed gratitude to netizens who helped identify the suspect, who allegedly stole around P90,000 worth of items. Police investigation revealed the suspect has a prior robbery record from 2018 and is known in the area.
