The "Love, Sessionistas" concert, held on April 18, 2026, at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino, was anticipated as a night of heartfelt ballads and acoustic serenades. Instead, the Cebuano audience experienced Queen covers, rap music, a marriage proposal, and a Visayan classic performed in an unprecedented style.
Opening with a Rock Anthem
When Ice Seguerra, Juris Fernandez, Duncan Ramos, Sitti Navarro, Nyoy Volante, and Princess Velasco took the stage, the opening number was a surprise: Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody." The Sessionistas harmonized through a medley that included "Somebody To Love" and "We Are the Champions," before returning to the opening refrain. Although one singer went flat initially, the crowd enthusiastically sang along, enjoying the unexpected start.
Solo Performances and a Visayan Twist
The second segment, "Becoming Sessionistas," featured personal songs that defined each artist's journey. Sitti performed "Tattooed on My Mind" with her signature bossa nova elegance. Juris sang "A Little Bit," a track from her MYMP days. Princess delivered a soulful "Bad Romance," while Duncan performed "Rainbow" and Nyoy sang his own composition "Someday."
The "Dear Sessionistas" segment brought another surprise. Duncan and Nyoy teamed up to serenade a letter sender with an R&B version of "Usahay," a beloved Visayan ballad. The audience then joined Juris, Sitti, and Princess in singing Jacky Chang's "Atik Ra," turning the ballroom into a choir. The segment ended with Ice and the group performing the Vispop song "Ipanumpa Ko" by Oh! Caraga.
A Marriage Proposal
Midway through the concert, Sitti returned for a special audience request segment. A male audience member stepped forward and, after Sitti finished performing, proposed to his girlfriend. She said yes. The room erupted in applause as Sitti resumed singing "For You" while the couple embraced.
The Biggest Shock: Rap
The "Unexpected" segment featured the Sessionistas performing hip-hop beats, dancing, and rapping. Known for gentle acoustic stylings, they unleashed rhythm and rhymes, leaving the audience laughing and cheering in disbelief. It was bold, bizarre, and effective.
A Night to Remember
The concert defied expectations with rock anthems, an R&B Visayan classic, a marriage proposal, and rap numbers. The Sessionistas came to Cebu to sing about love, but proved that love—like their show—is full of surprises.
