The Office of the Civil Defense in Central Visayas (OCD-7) reported that the devastating weather conditions have affected multiple areas across the region, with rescue teams working tirelessly to locate missing persons and provide assistance to displaced families.

According to OCD-7 Director Dr. Raul Fernandez, the disaster has impacted numerous communities throughout Central Cebu. "Our emergency response teams are operating around the clock to address this crisis," Fernandez stated during a press briefing. "We're coordinating with local government units to ensure all affected residents receive immediate assistance."
The severe weather system has caused widespread destruction, with floodwaters submerging residential areas and landslides burying homes in several municipalities. The death toll continues to rise as rescue workers access previously unreachable areas.
