The first group from the camp of Chinese knockout artist Dianxing Zhu arrived in Cebu yesterday, Wednesday, May 6, 2026, for his upcoming main event bout at the "Fist of Fury 10 - The Eliminator" boxing promotion scheduled for Saturday, May 9, at the New Cebu Coliseum.
Zhu's Arrival in Cebu
Zhu, who holds a record of 16 wins and 1 loss with 14 knockouts, will face undefeated Filipino boxer Ian Paul Abne (12-0, 4 KOs) in the main event. The fight serves as an International Boxing Federation (IBF) minimum weight world title eliminator.
Promoter Lorenzo "Chao" Sy, head of Chao Sy International Promotions, expressed excitement and confidence following the arrival of Zhu's team. Zhu's manager, Robin Wong, declared their intent to win, stating, "We come here to win."
Team and Support
Zhu and Wong arrived in Cebu accompanied by 11 fellow Chinese nationals. According to Sy, more supporters from Zhu's camp are expected to arrive on Thursday to provide additional backing during the bout.
The winner of the eliminator will become the mandatory challenger for IBF minimum weight champion Pedro Taduran of the Philippines, who will personally witness the fight.
Promoter's Expectations
Sy emphasized that all fights on the card are expected to be exciting and competitive. "That's really what I want, a real slugfest," Sy said, expressing his desire for action-packed bouts.
