Laurente returns to ring after near one-year hiatus

Former amateur standout Criztian Pitt Laurente is set to return to the ring after a long hiatus. He will face Jing Aguan in the "Sanman 101" show promoted by Sanman Promotions on June 13, 2026, at Villa Kristen Resort and Hotel in General Santos City.

The 26-year-old Laurente has been inactive for nearly a year. His last fight was on August 31, 2025, when he defeated Hebi Marapu via unanimous decision to capture the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) lightweight belt.

Laurente had a successful amateur career, earning a bronze medal at the 2018 AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships. He turned professional in 2019 and has maintained an undefeated record since.
