The Oklahoma City Thunder swept the Los Angeles Lakers 4-0 in their Western Conference semifinals series after a hard-fought 115-110 victory in Game 4 on Tuesday, May 12, 2026 (Philippine time).
Unlike the previous three games, which the Thunder dominated, the Lakers mounted a strong challenge and even led 85-80 early in the fourth quarter. The Thunder regained the lead midway through the quarter, but the Lakers answered back to go up 100-109 with 41 seconds remaining.
However, the Lakers failed to score again, while the Thunder added six points, four from the free-throw line, to seal the win and advance to the conference finals.
In the conference finals, the Thunder will face the winner of the other semifinal series between the San Antonio Spurs and Minnesota Timberwolves, which is tied 2-2.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 35 points, Ajay Mitchell added 28, and Chet Holmgren contributed 16 points. For the Lakers, Austin Reaves scored 27 points, Rui Hachimura had 25, and LeBron James added 24.
In another Game 4, Donovan Mitchell erupted for 43 points to lead the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 112-103 win over the San Antonio Spurs, tying their Eastern Conference semifinals series 2-2.
Mitchell scored 39 of his points in the second half, sparking the Cavaliers' comeback. Trailing 50-56 late in the second quarter, Cleveland went on a 24-0 run to take a 74-56 lead midway through the third quarter and controlled the game from there.
