US Strikes Iran After Attacks on Kuwait, Bahrain

The US military has confirmed launching self-defense strikes on Iran's Qeshm Island, following Iranian missile and drone attacks on American installations in Kuwait and Bahrain. The US side argued that the self-defense attack was a result of Iranian activity in the region, including not only the attack on the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain but also on Qeshm Island.

Details of the Strikes

In a statement, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that two ballistic missiles fired by Iran at Kuwait malfunctioned and missed their target, while three missiles launched toward Bahrain were intercepted by US and Bahraini forces. Additionally, the US confirmed intercepting three drones launched by Iran targeting civilian mariners in the region.

Ceasefire Remains in Effect

Despite the exchange of fire, the United States maintains that the ceasefire between the two countries remains in effect. The situation remains tense as both sides continue to monitor the region.
