The organizing committee is gearing up for a significant turnout at the inaugural Cebu Home Credit: Takbo Para sa Life fun run, scheduled for March 29, 2026, at Citi de Mare in the South Road Properties (SRP) of Cebu City.

Despite the recent announcement, the event has already generated substantial enthusiasm, with approximately 900 runners registered so far. Jacinto expressed confidence in exceeding initial goals, stating, "Our target is 2,000 runners, but we're prepared to accommodate up to 3,000 participants." This early response underscores the community's eagerness to engage in the fitness-focused initiative.
Diverse Race Categories and Inclusive Participation
The fun run is designed to cater to a wide range of participants by offering four distinct race categories:
- 10-kilometer race for men and women
- 5-kilometer race for men and women
- 3-kilometer race for men and women
- Special 1-kilometer pet run, allowing participants to run alongside their pets
This variety ensures that runners of all skill levels and interests can join in the festivities.
Lucrative Cash Prizes and Rewards for All
To incentivize competitive spirit, cash prizes will be awarded to the top three finishers in each category:
- 10K race: Champion receives P10,000, second place gets P8,000, and third place earns P6,000.
- 5K race: Winners take home P8,000, P5,000, and P4,000 for first, second, and third places, respectively.
- 3K race: Prizes are P5,000, P3,000, and P2,000 for the top three.
- 1K pet run: Finishers can win P3,000, P2,000, and P1,000.
Additionally, all participants who complete their races will be awarded commemorative medals, adding a token of achievement for every runner.
