Disposition of Confiscated Items

Following the seizure, the CIDG has announced that the confiscated smuggled cigarettes will be turned over to the BOC-Port of Zamboanga City for proper disposition. This step ensures that the items are handled according to legal protocols, potentially leading to destruction or further investigation to trace smuggling networks.

The operation underscores the collaborative efforts between various law enforcement agencies in addressing smuggling issues, which can have economic and social impacts on communities. Such initiatives are crucial in maintaining border security and upholding trade laws in Zamboanga City and beyond.
