PRO 7 Captures 400+ Suspects, Seizes P4M in Drugs

Over 400 individuals were arrested and more than P4 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 during a week-long anti-criminality operation from April 19 to April 25, 2026.

Drug Personalities Nabbed

Of the total number of arrests, 179 were drug personalities apprehended in various operations across Central Visayas. Authorities confiscated 593.56 grams of suspected shabu valued at P4,036,208.00.

According to PRO 7, this success significantly impacts the reduction of shabu supply in the region. Aside from drugs, the police intensified their manhunt for wanted persons.

Wanted Persons and Loose Firearms

In the crackdown on wanted persons, 101 accused individuals were arrested, 15 of whom were identified as Most Wanted Persons facing serious charges such as murder, rape, robbery, and drug-related offenses.

Regarding loose firearms, 16 people were arrested after authorities seized 26 firearms of various calibers, one grenade, and 41 ammunition.

Illegal Gambling Operations

Illegal gambling also did not escape the police dragnet, with 94 individuals arrested and P12,699.00 in bet money confiscated.

Police Brigadier General Arnold Abad, chief of PRO 7, praised his personnel for the accomplishment.

“Our operations are swift, decisive, and people-centered. We will sustain this momentum and ensure that lawbreakers face the full force of the law,” Abad declared.

The chief assured residents of Central Visayas that the police would not relent in their campaign against crime to ensure peace and security in the region.
