The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has denied reports that a standby aircraft was prepared at Villamor Air Base to transport Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa to The Hague. PAF Spokesperson Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo stated that operations at the air base remain normal and that the military has not received any official directive regarding the matter.
Normal Operations and White Alert Status
Currently, the PAF maintains a "white alert" status, indicating that its air and security operations are proceeding normally. Col. Castillo clarified that there is no coordination occurring within the PAF or the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) for the possible transport of the senator to the International Criminal Court (ICC).
This clarification comes in response to statements made by Atty. Israelito Torreon, Senator Dela Rosa's lawyer, who claimed that an aircraft and a composite team from the Philippine National Police (PNP) were being prepared to arrest the senator.
AFP Denies Gulfstream Aircraft Photos
Meanwhile, AFP Public Affairs Chief Col. Xerxes Trinidad also refuted circulating online photos of a Gulfstream aircraft. He described the information as "inaccurate" and noted that the images were from past incidents. Trinidad urged the public to avoid spreading unverified news.
The PAF and AFP continue to emphasize that no special operations are underway regarding Senator Dela Rosa, and all reports suggesting otherwise are baseless.
