In a recent press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro provided a detailed update, stating that Executive Secretary Ralph Recto has already briefed President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on the comprehensive status of the preparations. "All systems go po. Handa po tayo," Castro emphasized, translating to "All systems go. We are ready." This declaration underscores the government's confidence in its logistical and organizational capabilities for the event.
Adjustments and Austerity Measures
Castro revealed that certain adjustments are being actively considered to optimize the summit's efficiency. These include the potential shift of some meetings to a virtual format, a move proposed as part of broader government austerity measures aimed at streamlining activities. This approach reflects a pragmatic response to fiscal constraints while ensuring the summit's core objectives are met.

President Marcos had previously affirmed that the summit would proceed as scheduled, despite ongoing challenges stemming from the Middle East crisis. In line with the austerity measures, the Palace had earlier announced that 650 ministerial and senior official meetings originally slated for in-person hosting in the Philippines would instead be conducted online.
