Details of the Arrest and Charges

The suspect, identified as alias Nonoy, is a 70-year-old farmer and resident of Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao, Capiz. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 20, in Mambusao, Capiz. The charge against him is qualified rape, a non-bailable offense under Articles 266-A and 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act (RA) 11648.

Police Brigadier General Josefino Ligan, the regional director of the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO 6), praised the arresting unit for their efforts.
