The Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO) arrested 124 individuals during a 10-day Simultaneous Anti-Criminality Law Enforcement Operations (Sacleo) from May 1 to May 10, 2026. Over 6,000 local ordinance violators were issued citation tickets.

Operations Details

The intensified operations began at 12:01 a.m. on May 1 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on May 10. The CPPO conducted 111 operations targeting illegal drugs, illegal gambling, wanted persons, loose firearms, and the Safer Cities Initiative.

Anti-Illegal Drugs Campaign

Twenty-three operations were launched against illegal drugs, resulting in the arrest of 28 drug personalities, including 25 drug pushers and three drug users. Authorities seized 20.31 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of PHP 138,108.

Wanted Persons

Police served 38 warrants of arrest, capturing 35 wanted persons, including seven Most Wanted Persons, through 35 separate operations across the province.

Loose Firearms Campaign

Seven individuals were arrested in 16 operations against loose firearms, including buy-busts, Oplan Katok, and search warrants against unlicensed gun holders.

Illegal Gambling

Fifty-four gamblers were arrested, and PHP 15,815 was confiscated from anti-gambling operations.

Safer Cities Initiative

The CPPO recorded 6,041 ordinance violators during 2,049 operations. Among them, 1,381 were caught drinking alcohol in public, 420 violated the smoking ordinance, 340 were found without upper garments, 1,001 minors were rescued for curfew violations, 60 violated the noise ordinance (e.g., karaoke, videoke), and 2,639 violated traffic laws.
