Bohol Police Conduct Successful Raid in Panglao, Seizing Firearms and Drugs
In a targeted operation in Bohol, law enforcement officials have made a significant bust, confiscating firearms and illegal substances from a residence in Panglao. The incident underscores ongoing efforts to combat crime in the province.
Details of the Police Operation
On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at approximately 1:30 PM, police served a search warrant at a house in Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Panglao City, Bohol. The operation led to the arrest of three male suspects and the seizure of contraband items.
Suspects and Confiscated Items
The individuals apprehended were identified as Mahmoud Abed El Raman Batrawi, aged 33, Mark Hames Patac Salpocial, 22, and Rodel Quaco Batuli, 32, all residents of the area. From Batrawi, authorities recovered a .38 caliber revolver with three bullets and a .45 caliber pistol containing 13 bullets.
Additionally, two packages of suspected shabu, weighing 11.22 grams with an estimated street value of P74,800, were seized. Salpocial and Batuli were each found in possession of one package of shabu, valued at P34,000 per package.
Legal Charges Filed
The suspects now face serious legal repercussions. Batrawi is being charged with violations of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and Republic Act 10591, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. Salpocial and Batuli are charged solely under RA 9165 for drug-related offenses.
This raid highlights the proactive measures taken by Bohol police to enforce drug and firearms regulations, aiming to maintain public safety and order in the community.
