The 5th Negosyo Agraryo Trade Fair, held from June 26 to 29, 2026, at Robinsons Place Tacloban City, generated sales exceeding the P3 million target, according to the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Eastern Visayas. The event featured 40 agrarian reform beneficiaries (CARPreneurs) who showcased their products.
Top Performers and Products
Top sellers included the Mother Ignacia Women’s Association (Miwa) Producers Cooperative and Naty’s Antique Furniture. Miwa, a women's association from Llorente, Eastern Samar, produces turmeric powder, salabat, sambong powder, and lemongrass powder. DTI provided them with machinery through its Shared Service Facility Program. Natividad Golo, owner of Naty’s Antique Furniture, sold wooden furniture and decorations such as sala sets, corner tables, centerpieces, and wood consoles.
Economic Empowerment and Growth
“We are not just selling goods, but we are engineering economic freedom for our CARPreneurs. When CARPreneurs succeed, the whole community rises,” said DTI-CARP Project Manager Ferdinand Aparri during the event. The DTI regional office noted that the trade fair's success “gave courage to more CARPreneurs in developing their products, meeting institutional buyers and establishing new networks to expand their reach.”
Consistent Upward Trend
Since its launch in 2022, the Negosyo Agraryo Trade Fair has shown a consistent upward trend in sales, attributed to steady improvement in product quality and market reach. The four-day event also served as a culminating showcase of DTI's interventions under the DTI-CARP program, including entrepreneurial and skills training, mentorship, product development sessions, machinery under a shared system, promotion to larger markets, and access to financial institutions.
