PRO-NIR Honors Top Police Officers and Units in Bacolod Ceremony
The Police Regional Office-Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) held a prestigious awards ceremony on February 9, 2026, to recognize outstanding police officers, units, and partner stakeholders for their exemplary service, dedication, and significant contributions to public safety across the region. The ceremony was led by PRO-NIR Director Brigadier General Arnold Thomas Ibay, along with the regional staff, personal staff, awardees, and other officers and personnel of PRO-NIR. The event took place at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., located in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City, serving as a central hub for celebrating achievements in policing.
Recognition of Top Police Offices
Several police units received awards for their exceptional performance. The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was honored as the Best City Police Office, while the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) was awarded as the Best Police Provincial Office. These recognitions highlight the effective leadership and operational excellence in urban and provincial settings.
Awards for Police Stations and Mobile Forces
In addition to the top offices, specific stations and mobile force companies were commended for their efforts. The Best City Police Station award went to Dumaguete City Police Station. For municipal police stations, Manjuyod Municipal Police Station (under Norppo, Class B) and Maria Municipal Police Station of Siquijor Police Provincial Office (SPPO, Class C) were recognized as the Best Municipal Police Stations. Furthermore, the Provincial Mobile Force Company of Norppo received the Best Provincial Mobile Force Company 2nd award, and the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company was named the Best City Mobile Force Company.
