The operation, conducted by the Taguig City Police Station's Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), underscores a heightened focus on combating drug-related activities in the area.

The buy-bust operation took place in Barangay Ususan, Taguig City, around 10:30 p.m. on April 14, 2026. Police operatives successfully arrested the suspect, a 30-year-old delivery rider who goes by the alias "Orlando" and resides in Barangay Pembo. During the sting, authorities recovered approximately 50.3 grams of shabu, with an estimated street value of P342,040.

Following the arrest, charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspect. Taguig City police chief Julius Añonuevo emphasized that this operation is part of an intensified anti-drug campaign.
