I am already a presumptive candidate because I declared my intention to run for the next presidential elections, Duterte said. We can only pray that there will be a presidential election in 2028 and it will be honest, orderly, and peaceful.
Malacañang Reacts
In response, Malacañang, through Palace Press Officer Usec. Claire Castro, noted that Vice President Duterte's eagerness to discuss the 2028 elections is noticeable. Castro emphasized that while the Vice President is focused on election matters, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. remains dedicated to addressing national issues, including the crisis in the Middle East.
Vice President Duterte is currently in The Hague to visit her father, former President Rodrigo Duterte.
